Shipping & Delivery

 

Regular shipping
Most customers will see their in-stock items within 5 - 10 business days. If the item is not in stock, we will contact you with product status. Unless otherwise specified, all regular shipping packages will be shipped UPS Ground.

Overnight Shipping
Average orders up to 12 pounds range in cost from $20.00 - $45.00 per box in addition to your regular shipping charges. You will receive your in-stock items the next business day. For exact shipping quote, please call 978-686-7722

Shipping/Back Orders
We make every effort to ship orders in a timely fashion. In the event that you select a back ordered item, your order may be divided into multiple shipments. We will ship products that are immediately available at our North Andover store.


Privacy & Security

Similarly, if you sign up to receive The Equestrian Shop newsletter, we will use the email address you provide to send you the newsletters.

> We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. We securely transmit, via SSL encryption, your entire order, including credit card number, during the process.

> It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

Returns & Replacements

 Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind every product we sell. We want you to have as much faith in our products as we do. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the product or the unused portion within 30 days of purchase and we will credit your original payment method or replace the item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. For saddle return policies, please see our saddle policy page. Your complete satisfaction is our goal!

 

Pre-Owned Saddles Policy

Thank you for choosing The Equestrian Shop to help you find the perfect used saddle! We want you to be happy with your saddle purchase. When you purchase a saddle from The Equestrian Shop Inc., you can be assured that you are buying a saddle that has been thoroughly inspected by a tack expert.

We are riders ourselves. We know you can’t make a decision on purchasing a used saddle with one “ten minute” ride. We encourage you to ride in the saddle a few times – maybe even take a lesson in it. We do ask that stirrup leathers be wrapped on certain saddles (demos & like-new saddles especially) but on most saddles – enjoy the ride! Just be sure that, if the saddle needs to be returned to us, it comes back in the same condition it went out in.

We request that you call us if you would like a saddle shipped. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the saddles on our site and help you choose the perfect model to try.

We give you ample time to try the saddle & return it to us. Generally we request that the saddle be returned to us within about 3 weeks from when it leaves our shop. The exact date to be returned can be decided when you call us with your shipping information. We do ask one favor – Please call us after you have given the saddle a try, so we know whether to expect it back or not! SADDLES MUST HAVE A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER BEFORE THEY ARE RETURNED.

Saddles returned after “return by” date will be refunded by STORE CREDIT only.

All Website Saddle Orders MUST call 978-356-1180 or EMAIL equestrianshopnorth@gmail.com for authorization number before saddle is returned 978-356-1180 Return authorization number must be clearly visible on box. Saddle boxes should be insured for full retail value of saddle. Return shipping fee is the responsibility of person returning saddle.

By signing below I agree to purchase this saddle according to The Equestrian Shop, Inc.’s purchasing policies. I agree to return the saddle by the above decided date. I understand the saddle must be returned clean and in the same condition as when it left the store. If I wish to keep and purchase the saddle prior to the end of the trial period, I will call The Equestrian Shop with this notification. The sale will then be complete and final.

If saddle is lost or damaged while in my care, saddle cannot be returned and I will be charged the full cost of saddle. No refunds for saddle will be issued if saddle is returned after RETURN BY date. Buyers are responsible for shipping charges both ways.

If saddle is not returned by above date, my credit card, or other form of funds will be processed. By signing this agreement, I waive all rights to dispute the charges to my credit card for the saddle listed above. Once charged, the saddle is considered purchased and cannot be returned, per the returns policy of The Equestrian Shop, Inc.

Saddles require an additional shipping charge as shown on listing. Please be aware if the additional shipping charge does not reflect on your original invoice, we will need to call you for additional payment before the saddle can ship. We will authorize your credit card for the full amount of the saddle. Shipping charges will be billed to your card when the saddle ships (standard UPS). If the saddle needs to be returned, your credit card will not be charged for the saddle. Shipping charges are not refundable. Return shipping & insurance charge are your responsibility. If the saddle is not returned by the specified date, we’ll assume you love the saddle & are too busy riding in it to call us. The saddle is considered sold if it is not returned by the specified date.

At The Equestrian Shop. We enjoy finding a perfect match for horse & rider. After all, we’ve been experts at it for over 50 years! We look forward to hearing from you!

Condition of saddles

We use some general terms in our descriptions of the saddles to let you know what type of condition the saddle is in. EVERY SADDLE is in safe working order, and is in perfectly usable condition. Here are some explanations to help you decide which saddle may work for you.

FAIR – A saddle in fair condition will have considerable wear but is safe & usable. Most fair condition saddles have had heavy use. There will be obvious wear on the flaps & seat and the leather may be thinning or stained. Leather may be dry or cracked. Stitching on some parts of the saddle may be missing or very worn. Saddles in fair condition may work well for someone looking for an inexpensive first saddle, guestsaddle or a saddle for a camp program.

GOOD – A saddle in good condition is well broken in and has signs of obvious wear. Leather is well maintained but quite broken in. Saddle has had moderate use and is in fine working order. You can enjoy many more years with a saddle in good condition.

VERY GOOD – A saddle in very good condition has been used but may not be considered “broken in”. The flaps may have surface marks but no considerable wear. The leather is soft & pliable. Saddle shows light use. Perfect for those riders who enjoy having someone else start the “breaking in” process for him or her!

LIKE NEW – A like-new saddle is most likely a demo saddle that has been ridden in once or twice. There may be slight creases on the billet straps and slight rub marks on the flaps but the saddle has essentially no wear. The saddle may have very minor nicks & scratches, typical of a demo saddle. A like-new saddle generally saves you hundreds of dollars off retail. Any of our like-new saddles must be ridden in with extra care. Please wrap leathers with a sock or a towel.
