Description

EZ-CONTROL PRECISION D RING DOUBLE-BROKEN BIT 2254
A NEW TYPE OF D RING BIT: curved mouthpiece, EZ control and rings “with stops”
Mouthpiece thickness: 14 mm
Ring size: 100 X 55 mm
Materials: Stainless Steel
Article number: 2254
Use: The Precision D bit comes with a curved mouthpiece designed to improve the horse’s comfort and increase the steering abilities of the bit (the upper part of the D’s are positioned to keep contact with the upper jaws).
The mouthpiece features the EZ Control system (see note on the right about the EZ Control features).
The rings of the bit can move to the outside but they “stop” when pulled inwards. This feature is quite helpful when dealing with turns because the fixed position of the ring allows the horse to better find his balance.

Degree of severity: MILD to STRONG (intensity depends upon the activation or not of the EZ Control system).

Beginner rider: Fairly well suited when used on a well-trained horse
Young horse: Well suited when rider is experienced
Experienced rider: Very suitable
Well trained horse: Very suitable

The Easy (EZ) Control system is a locking device that allows a double broken mouthpiece to turn into a rigid bar when the horse is not responding properly to the rider’s hand.

The EZ control system allows the rider to preserve control when needed without however having to use too severe a bit.

Benefits of the EZ control system:
• Enhanced effect with minimum pressure on the reins
• Allows gentle and sensitive aids
• With the EZ-CONTROL-BIT, we have developed a bit that is very effective and has a strong action on demand, yet is positioned softly and comfortably in the horse’s mouth.
• The effect of the bit comes into action gently. When the horse accepts the bit, it lies smoothly between the tongue and the lower jaw.
• When the horse resists the rider’s aids, the leverage action of the bit is initiated. As soon as the horse backs down and accepts the rider’s aids, the bit becomes flexible and soft on the horse’s tongue and bars.

           Stübben Steeltec quality:
• No rough edges that could hurt the horse's mouth
• Long durability due to selected materials
• A special processing technology ensures that bit holes and link pieces remain intact longer
